Nokia Scrapping Symbian in the U.S. for Windows Phone 7

We knew it was going to happen, but Nokia's finally made it official: the company is killing murder Symbian in North America. Nokia president Chris Weber revealed the (shortly) death to AllThingD's Ina Fried on Tuesday.

Weber said that the company plans to exit both the low-end and Symbian smartphone concern in the region American Samoa region of a broader effort to focus happening Windows Phone 7. I'm non sure if that propel is a good one: so faraway, Microsoft's new transportable OS has not sold so well.
